Last post pre-Disney!

This is the first real vacation Troy and I have been on together. No parents or siblings, and we are staying in a hotel the whole time. Longest time off from work EVER! And it's to freaking DISNEY WORLD for our honeymoon! There will be NO SNOW, only 80-90 degree weather. Whoaaaa!

I really hope we are able to travel more in the future, especially to visit my girls in Colorado! This trip kicks off the 'busy season' of life. I have a cousin's wedding, a wedding shower to plan, two weddings for friends, taking Troy to the drag races in August (drag racing with cars, not people in drag...racing), going to visit Troy's family, going to Milwaukee. It will be great to have so many things to break up the work week. All of these things are within a few hours driving. After Disney, we will probably start saving for a 'new' car. Both of ours are getting up in the miles and starting to have problems.

I will take approximately a bajillion pictures at Disney, and eat five bajillion calories. There will be much posting when I return. On to RW after work tomorrow, then to Disney on Sunday!

What's up with the Bunnies?

I was at 3 Target stores (all different cities) in the last few days. All three stores only had yellow marshmallow bunnies. There were still multiple colors of the chicks. I was at a local grocery store tonight. Out of curiosity, I looked and saw that they had orange bunnies only, and multiple colors of chicks. Either a strong indicator of everyone's Peep preferences, or perhaps there was a Peep disaster.

I was looking for pink bunnies to make the Peep stuffed brownies for a work potluck this week. I settled for pink chicks, as they will be baked into the brownies. Some may be used as decorations. Some others will be tested for quality control while baking....mmmmm, quality control!

I was also reading People magazine in the lunch area at work and stumbled across this site called Chocomize. I've heard about it before, but it is awesome. The bar created in the magazine was dark chocolate, cayenne pepper, pop rocks, pretzels, and coffee beans. I (pretend) made one that was a Jenna bar- dark chocolate, jelly beans, 23 karat gold flakes, sprinkles, pop rocks, and potato chips. Because WHY NOT?>! I also saw a posting for Easter candy bark, which is basically the same thing. I love this idea as it involves many things I enjoy- part craft, part mad scientist, part candy fiend.

It is now time to watch Snow White. And it's time for ice cream.

What DIDN'T I eat for dinner!?

Rain/sleet+end of another YUCK work week....What do do for dinner?

Pizza Doctors

I have only been there twice. For shows at the La Crosse Community Theatre, the opening night party is at Pizza Doctors and they have a small version of their pizza buffet. That's been the standard pizza flavors. What Pizza Doctors is KNOWN for through, is their Exploratory Surgery. It is the craziest pizza buffet ever. They bring the 'fresh out of the oven' pizzas around the room, to your table, and they let you know which pizza they have. You eat until you feel like you just might be having your Last Supper. They even take requests. You could request something off the menu, or just tell them what crazy combo of foods you want on a pizza crust. They just might make it and bring you around a slice.

I will now list as many different kinds of pizza as Troy and I can remember. Favorites are starred.

mac and cheese*

peanut butter and m&m *

cheese pretzel*

dirt (choco crust, oreos, gummy worm, and choco pudding)

apple pie*

chips and salsa*

gyro

garlic noodle(troy only)

bunny food (ranch, cheese, cucumber, carrots, etc)*

shrimp alfredo

brat and kraut pizza(troy only)*

some sort of supreme pizza

marshmallow oreo*

bbq chicken

chicken bacon

And it was all pretty much delicious.
Did I mention that this place is about a block from our apartment? Uh oh! Overall, I can think of a place or two that has equally good or better pizza, but the variety CAN'T be beat! I may not need any food until late tomorrow........

Starting over

I'm just going to start this puppy over! I will be archiving some of the old posts. For now, they are in a safe place.

I'm going to be a bit lazy about dinner tonight. There are a bunch of eggs that want me to turn them into cookie dough, so we'll see who wins. We're going to watch another Disney movie tonight. Troy's review will be on his blog.
